Profile

Dr. Bidyut Kanti Chowdhury is an Assistant Professor at the Department Instrumental Music. Rabindra Bharati. He worked on ‘Influence of Music in Humanistic Education’ as his Ph.D. project and received the degree from the Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. He teaches Theory of Indian Music. He has published five books on music. He writes Bengali poems and has two books to his credit. Two audio cassettes have been launched with his renderings of Bengali Modern songs. He has worked as lyricist, music composer, story writer and painter. He is attached to different editorial boards of some well circulated city journals. His recent project involves in research on the School Children with Special Reference to Child-centric Education through General Education and Music to develop humanitarian qualities.
