Profile

Mr. Falguni Dey teaches Urban and Transport Planning, Social and Cultural Geography, Economic and Development Geography. He passed M.A. and B.Ed in Geography from Calcutta University. He won the UGC award of Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturership in 2010. He gave talks in Rabindra Bharati University and Vidyasagar University distance education classes as a guest lecturer. He presented papers at the Calcutta University of Kolkata, Banaras Hindu University of Varanasi, Burdwan University of Burdwan, Vidyasagar University of Midnapore and so on. He attained many national and international seminars regularly all over India. He associated various Self Help Groups and Tribal Groups to empower rural economy in Burdwan district.
Apart from Geography he is also interested in arts and literature. He is the honorary editor of a Bengali little magazine kobita ebong kobita. He published a book contains collection of his poems. His poems and short stories published in various magazines and journals in India and Bangladesh.
