Dr. Bishnupada Nanda teaches Education, Special Education, Guidance and Counselling. He has published 25 research papers in the leading peer-reviewed referred journals of distinction in India. Also he has published six research articles in National Level Journals. His Published Books are : Mental Retardation: Bio-medical Aspects, Down's Syndrome, Exceptional Children, History of Special Education, School Without Walls in 21st Century. His edited books are Challenged Children: Problems and Management, and Drug Abuse where he contributed ten chapters and five chapters respectfully. He is the Editor of "Indian Journal of Special Education", RBU (ISSN: 2229-3612) and Editorial Board Member of Journal of Education, RBU. His awards include National Science Day Award and Madam Maria Montessori Award. In 2005 he gave lectures in the British Council, Dhaka. He was the Visiting Professor of Special Education, Dept. of Special Education, IER, University of Dhaka (for the session 1995-'98) and Guest Professor, in National Centre for Special Education, Ministry of Welfare, Govt. of Bangladesh Republic, Dhaka. He presented papers in National and International Seminars and Workshops. He has contributed chapters in study materials of M.A. (Edu.) and B.Ed. Spl. Edu. of RBU, NSOU and Tripura University.
