Rabindra Bharati University is an ardent Scholar of History and at present she is perusing her P.H.D. from the University of Calcutta with a dynamic topic. She has supervised a good number of students at M. Phil and P.H.D. level. She has a number of publications in journal and edited volumes in India and abroad.

She is a member of Itihas Academy of Dhaka, Pashim Banga ;a itihas Samsad ,Indian History Congress, she is a member of International Association of Historian of Asia (IAHA) etc. She is also the members to the Editorial Board of the ‘Journal’ Modern Historical Studies’’, annually published by the Dept of History Rabindra Bharati University. She visited Bangladesh in 2002 to present a paper at the IAHA Conference, she visited Taiwan in 2004 to present a paper at the IAHA Conference. She was invited by the Itihas Academy Dhaka (Bangladesh) in 2011 and 2012 to present a paper. She presented a paper at the Indian History Congress (2002), she presented number of paper at Paschim Bang Itihas Sansad in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012.
