Dr. Rajasri Basu, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science teaches political science at the Rabindra Bharati Univerrsity since 1998. Before that she was in the teaching faculty of Presidency College, Kolkata,. Her areas of interest and research include political theory, Women's and Gender Studies, Theories of Public Administration and Governance. She has five books, seven papers in books and seven papers in peer-reviewed and refereed journals. She has presented papers in five International Conferences, in addition to her presentation in several national and state-level seminars. She is in the Editorial Board of two prestigious journal of political science published from Kolkata.
She plays an instrumental role in establishing and getting accreditation from UGC of the Women's Studies Centre, in 2009. The Centre is pursuing research and conducting research successfully. She has completed three post doctoral reseach projects.
She has been a member of the fivr-member delegation of the University that visited People's Republic of China in 2009.
