Dr. Pijush Chakraborty, Associate Professor, of the Department Drama, Faculty of Fine Arts, Rabindra Bharati University, teaches Drama and Theatre Arts with special focus on Acting, Direction and Videography. He is an Actor, Director, Mime artiste, and has appeared on the stage in thirty major theatre productions and also in Jatra and TV serials.
He has served in the capacity of Expert in Song and Drama Division, Govt. of India and Jadavpur University.
He has visited Bangladesh as an Actor to perform in the International Theatre Festival.
He has been invited by the BITM , GSI (Govt. of India) and Department of Youth Affairs (Govt. of WB) to act as Judge in Drama and Mime.
He has conducted different Workshops like Natya Academy, NIFFA, Geological Survey of India, International theatre Workshop at Jorashanko & Bijnan Mancha
His awards include Pramothesh Barua, Gold Medalist in Mime in NAM Youth Festival and Gold Medal in Mime in UNIFEST.
