Dr. Tarun Kumar Pradhan, Assistant- Professor of the Department of Drama, Faculty of Fine Arts. Rabindra Bharati University, teaches Drama and Theatre Arts with special focus on Folk Theatre & Mime. He is an Actor, Director, Mime artiste, Theorist, Musician, Set Designer, Light Designer, and has appeared on the stage, designed 11 (eleven) in a number of major theatre productions.
He is a chief Choreographer National & International cultural festival.
His published works include critical works like Folk Theatre & Traditional Dance, and creative works like 14th Group productions.
He is in the Editorial Board of Natya Kala ,Sarabhuj Patrika & others
His awards and Grants include ...Young Talent Award& Fellowship Dept. of Culture, Govt. of India & several Folk events.
He has served in the capacity of Expert / Visiting Fellow / Associate Fellow / He has visited Asia , Europe & African countries as Cultural Representative Govt. of INDIA
He has been invited to act as Judge in the Cultural selection committee Dept of cultural, Govt. of India.
He was invited by the Eminent group theatre to deliver lectures on Folk Tradition .
He has organized as Workshop coordinator in the following Workshops. He has also conducted Workshops on Patiala University Panjab, Dhaka University Bangladesh, Natya Academy West Bengal & Eminent Theatre Group in INDIA .
