Sri Santanu Das, Assistant Professor, of the Department of Drama, Faculty of Fine Arts, Rabindra Bharati University, teaches Drama and Theatre Arts with special focus on Theatre Design and Direction. He is an Actor, Director, Theorist, Designer, and has appeared on the stage, designed more then Forty six in a number of major theatre productions.
His published works include critical works like in different theatre magazines 'Rang Prasang'-by National School of Drama, Natya Kala by Department of Drama RBU and Natya Kalpa by Kalyani Kalamandalam and creative works like conducting workshop with various institutions.
He is in the Editorial Board of Natya Kalpa published by Kalyani Kalamandalam
He received Scholarship from Ministry of Culture and Fellowship from National School of Drama
He has served in the capacity of Expert / Visiting Teacher / Designer in the different theatre groups of Country, University of Kalyani and National School of Drama.
He has visited Bangladesh / Bhutan / other countries to work as an actor, director and designer.
He has been invited by the University of Kalyani and Department of Parliamentary Affairs (Govt. of WB) to act as judge in Drama, Recitation and Youth Parliament events. He was invited by different Colleges, University and cultural organizations to deliver lectures on Theatre Arts.
He has worked as Workshop coordinator in the Departmental Annual Theatre Workshops. He has also conducted Workshops on Theatre at the invitation of the National School of Drama, New Delhi, Rabindra Adhayayan Kendra, University of Kalyani, Paschim Banga Natya Academy.
