Over the past few years, Rabindra Bharati University has been taking various initiatives for overall Quality Enhancement of the Institution as per the recommendations made by the NAAC Peer Team in its report for Re-Accreditation (2nd cycle) of the University. One of the recommendations, inter alia, was “Interdisciplinary collaborative research amongst faculty within and outside the university needs to be promoted. Teachers should develop research projects.” In compliance with the NAAC recommendation, the University took a positive initiative to encourage the University teachers in the cadres of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor to undertake and develop various research projects by way of provisioning budgetary allocation of ₹2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakh) each for ten Research Projects in each Financial Year under the head of University Research Projects from the Financial Year 2021-2022 and with a view to implement the initiative , the University adopted the Guidelines of University Research Projects (URP)and started to implement the same from the FY-2022-23.The result of the initiative has been overwhelming.
